How these numbers were sourced
Published bending MOE for birch plywood parallel to face grain at 12% MC is 9 to 12 GPa; 1,450,000 psi (about 10 GPa) is taken as a representative mid-range value (Baltic birch tests at the high end, near 12 GPa / 1,740,000 psi). Density 0.68 (680 kg/m3 at 12% MC) is the EN 13986 reference figure. The Sagulator does not list birch plywood specifically (its only plywood entry is fir plywood at 1,200,000 psi), so MOE is sourced from the birch plywood specification. Movement model N/A (see movementNote). Price indicative.
